About
Charis is a Registered Clinical Psychologist who supports individuals and groups to recognise and utilise their strengths, live a life consistent with their values, adjust to life’s challenges, build resilience, and move towards psychological well-being. Charis aims to provide an empathic, collaborative, and supportive therapeutic space for clients. She uses a range of evidence-based treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy, and techniques such as self-compassion and mindfulness. Therapy is tailored for each client.
Charis has worked in mental health, research, health, and correctional settings. She has experience supporting individuals with difficulties such as depression, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, grief, anxiety, stress, death anxiety, trauma, ADHD, behavioural difficulties and sleep disturbance. Charis is also passionate about eco-resilience; she works with individuals and groups supporting them to build emotional resilience and feel empowered in an era of climate change.
Charis is a mother of three and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, being outdoors and engaging various creative activities such as cooking, writing or drawing.
Charis works with parents, children, teenagers and adults.
