Kia ora, my name is Felicity Daly.  I have spent my early years in Southland and Otago and grown up mainly in Christchurch. I am the mother of three young children and two elderly dogs, who are the focus of a lot of my free time.  We like to spend time at the river and exploring Canterbury.

I have been working as a Registered Clinical Psychologist since 2012, predominantly as a Senior Psychologist at Ara Poutama, the Department of Corrections.  This has meant that I have worked with individuals from diverse walks of life, and often those with complex and difficulty life histories.  I am determined to understand the different experiences and world views that have led people to their current experiences.  I have predominantly worked within a group-based CBT format, but have also delivered therapy within an ACT, Schema Therapy and DBT framework.  I have experience in assessing complex needs and have experience working with neurodivergence, trauma, complex trauma, interpersonal difficulties, self-regulation difficulties, compulsive behaviours, anxiety and depression.

I currently run assessment clinics for adult ADHD and autism/takiwātanga. I am motivated to create a safe space in assessment and therapy to allow an individual to be heard and understood.  If you are an individual that appreciates a supportive yet direct approach with a bit of humour along the way, then hopefully I will feel like a good fit for you.  I also hold some therapy space available, predominantly for previous assessment clients who would like additional time to address co-occurring mental health experiences, or to process any new diagnoses.  I am an ACC provider and registered WINZ provider. Clients can discuss their eligibility for therapy or assessment funding with WINZ, or for ACC following their assessment process.
